Caine's Arcade

My boyfriend found this story online and I had to share it with you. It is about a 9 year old boy who built a cardboard arcade. Here is the video.

He has a website too, http://cainesarcade.com/, where they have started a scholarship fund. This kid is talented and has so much potential!!

Last Day! Picture Day Number 30

Here are a couple pictures to end our first 30 Day Challenge. The first is a picture of us at Anthony's friend's wedding. The wedding was great and it was nice to be with all of his friends. The second is of my dinner at a "fast-food" place called Moe's. I took a picture because I loved it so much! I love Taco Bell, but this Mexican place was even better!

We've been really busy the last two days because we had to travel to Rochester for Anthony's friend's wedding. So here is yesterday's picture of Anthony at the rehearsal. Today is wedding day and we are excited for Ian and Megan! I will be posting a few pictures from the wedding tomorrow.

Anthony and I went for a walk today and took some cute pictures. =) And I made dinner tonight, which doesn't happen often. Anthony usually makes dinner. So there is a picture of that too! =)

Picture Day Number 26

We had pizza from a local bar (that doesn't use pizza boxes with their own logo on them) and chicken from a local bbq place today for dinner. The chicken was from a fundraiser we did for the Senior Pride Committee to raise money for our senior class gift. We sat and ate our food while watching a highly anticipated Sabres hockey game, which they won 5-1 against the Capitals! For some reason all of the pictures that I tried to take turned out really dark, so this is a fun edited version of one of those pictures. Hope it looks ok!

Today we took pictures outside of the Stull Observatory! A hidden treasure of Alfred. Not many people see it when they come to Alfred because it's kind of hidden behind campus. So here it is!

We tried to take some pictures in front of the new performing arts building today, but by the time we got down there it was too dark. So today is a sneak preview of my senior show card! Here is a bowl I made from a red stoneware, and it is full of yummy cookie dough ice cream! =)

Sorry for the delay in the blogging. I bought a domain for a new website yesterday and somehow wasn't able to sign in to blogger because of my new google account. But I got on my boyfriends computer today and it is letting me do it on here, so I'm going to blog on here until I figure out the issue.

Yesterday Anthony, our friends Matt and Sam, and I went to see the Hunger Games in a nearby theater. It only had one screen and it was a really interesting building.

This picture is really late. I didn't get out of the studio until 1:30 in the morning. The picture is of the outfit I bought yesterday to wear to an art show dinner, and later to graduation.

Today was Tuesday and that means family dinner night! Every Tuesday a bunch of my friends and I go to a local bar that has pizzas for $10. Anthony got out of class early and got to come. =)

But I've been getting back from the studio late the last couple of days and instead of skipping the picture taking for the day we want to at least do something! We took pictures today at the building we lived in last year here at Alfred University. Ann's House is the newest resident building on campus, and let me tell you it is really nice to be the second person to ever live in a dorm room.

So I was washing dishes today, because our oh so lovely apartment at school doesn't have a dishwasher, and as I was standing there Anthony was sitting at the tv playing video games and I just had to laugh to myself. There I was washing our dishes and there he is playing video games. I don't mind doing them, I just thought it was funny. =) So here are the pictures of the day.

Picture Day Number 14

Another stressful day today (I think there will be a lot of those in the next two months with senior shows coming up). Some good things happened as well as some bad. Good news: my show partner and I finished our proposal for our show space! We have to choose our top five spaces and then submit a proposal on why we should get our number one or two choice. So I don't have to worry about that anymore! Today I got some glaze things out of a kiln and I took a picture of one of them, which you'll see below. And then, when I went to put it back on the table it accidentally fell off!! So frustrating! But, I did make a cute ice cream dish today so I think that'll make up for it. =) Anthony doesn't have a picture up today but he bought me Subway for dinner, so I decided that made up for it. =)
